The natural black soap is manufactured by traditional Moroccan methods. It’s made from black olives, olive oil, water and sodium hydroxide which necessary in the process of saponification. The content of olive oil makes that black soap has many valuable properties.

Olive oil has already been used for the skin care in ancient times. It is a perfect, natural skin cleansing cosmetic. It is often a component of products for face, hair, nails and the body care. Olive oil is also used in the pharmaceutical industry.

Olive oil is reach source of unsaturated fatty acids: oleic, linoleic and linolenic, which are necessary for proper functioning of the skin. These fatty acids are part of membranes of cells which create the horny layer. They provide moisture to skin cells and slows down their aging process. In the olive oil is present a rare palmitoleic acid – a nutrient of cell walls.

Olive oil is a valuable source of natural hydrocarbon – squalene. It is a strong antioxidant with an antibacterial properties. It supports the process of purifying the cells from toxins and provides them an appropriate level of hydration. It has been proved that squalene applied to the skin has anti-cancer properties.

Olive oil is a valuable source of tocopherolvitamin E, which nourishes and regenerates cells and removes toxins. Olive oil is also rich in polyphenol which soothes the negative effect of tanning.

Black soap has a peeling effect, it oxygenates, removes toxins and dead skin cells, allowing your skin to breathe. It restores the skin natural balance, hydration and provides a proper protection. Soap softens the skin, removes dead skin cells and guarantees the proper process of regeneration.

Moroccan Savon Noir is also used for Hammam ritual. It is applied in the first stage of Hammam called gommage – body peeling. Black soap should be applied on a wet skin for few minutes. Then, massage the skin with a Kess glove to clean the skin thoroughly. Wash the skin and complete the second stage of the Hammam  ritual – cleaning of the skin with a rhassoul clay.
